Facebook ProfileMy name is Ash Chuan and I write for this blog. I develop application software and I currently live in London, England. My interest in information technology began when I was given my first computer, the Apple IIe and started writing sofware in BASIC and never looked back. I have watched how technology evolved and improved over the years and I think we are living in extremely competitive and exciting times in this internet age. I use Google as my main search engine like almost everyone else and I have been programming using Microsoft toolsets for many years but I am also a great fan of open source software. In case you’re wondering if I spend time away from my computer, the answer is yes I do. My interests are in travel, photography and cooking. Like everyone else I always dream of moving to a remote tropical island because the grass is always greener on the other side but in reality, what is important is standing out in today’s cluttered internet marketplace (an inspiration from reading Chasing Cool).

iPhone or BlackBerry? iPhone. Simply because the brand itself is fun.
Mac or PC? If I have the choice I will always pick Mac.
Facebook or Friendster? Take a guess.
Canon or Nikon? I am a new believer in Canon. At least for SLRs.
Hybrid or petrol/diesel cars? Definitely Hybrid
Brown or Cameron? I am still undecided
Oracle or SQL Server? SQL Server and don’t ask why!
Black or white? Blue
Jesus or Lucifer? Definitely Jesus
Family or friends? Both
