Amazon sent an email to ask it’s members to join the Amazon Appstore Developer Program. This program will enable mobile-application developers to sell their apps on Amazon.com. It’s a great marketing platform for your Android apps.
Here are the reasons given by Amazon why you should submit your apps to the Amazon Appstore for Android:
1. You’ll have access to tens of millions of active Amazon customers.
2. Amazon’s marketing and merchandizing features will help promote and get your app discovered by the right customers.
3. Existing users can easily use their Amazon.com account to purchase your apps from both the PC & mobile device.
Amazon is encouraging developers to submit their apps and said that the Amazon Appstore for Android will be launching soon but there’s no further details on payment of purchased apps and Ts & Cs.

In the Ts & Cs, Amazon stated that the developer will be paid “Royalty”.
For each sale of an App, the developer will be paid a royalty equal to the greater of 70% of the purchase price or 20% of the list price.
