This is an interesting website simply because it is the sister website of the world poverty site, Poverty.com and the concept of FreeRice.com is unique. I say it is unique because FreeRice.com provide English vocabulary to everyone for free and help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free. I hear a few huh, am I right? It is made possible by the sponsors who advertise on the website.
Here is how it works.
When you go to FreeRice.com website, a word game will appear. Each time you play the word game and get the correct answer, you donate 20 grains of rice to the poor. An advertisement appears each time you play the word game and the grains of rice is sponsored by the advertiser.
The more you play the word game, the more you learn and improve your English vocabulary and the more grains of rice is donated to the poor. Good concept don’t you think so?
