The Eye-Fi card is a memory card that uses built-in Wi-Fi technology to transfer photos direct from a digital camera to a computer or photo-sharing website. The technology is a brainchild of a California-based company Eye-Fi.
The card works by storing photos like a regular SD card and enables users to upload the photos automatically to the home network if the camera is switched on. Eye-Fi currently produces a 2GB wireless SD memory card and claims that it works at a range of more than 90ft outdoors and 45ft indoors.
How does Eye-Fi card upload photos?
Upload to computer
Photos are sent wirelessly from the Eye-Fi Card inside your camera to your home Wi-Fi network directly. It works on PC or Mac. Your computer must be switched on and the Eye-Fi manager software must be running. You can upload to the folder of your choice.
Upload to web
Eye-Fi card connects wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi network and uploads your photos to photo sharing and social network websites. Eye-Fi service handles login, re-sizes photos and upload is free.
Upload to computer and web
If you wish to share photos as well as transfer photos to your PC or Mac, Eye-Fi card allow you to choose both option to upload to your computer as well as the web.

if not mistaken, not all camera can support this tech, and Nokon hv 1 new model which is D60 can support this

According to Eye-Fi support, the only camera manufacturers that do not support Eye-Fi are Olympus and Sony because they do no support SD format. The rest do.
