I read recently that university students in the US can download lectures onto their iPod or MP3 players after the lecture is completed. This gives students the opportunity to recap lecture points after they have left the class room.

Software companies have developed application for iPod where the audio lecture is synchronized with Powerpoint-like presentations and universities across the country are quickly adopting this method of media distribution.

iPod is no longer just a entertainment media gadget but fast becoming an education tool too.
