It is possible to create your own ringtone for your iPhone by using GarageBand 8 (version 4.1.1).
1. Connect your iPhone
2. Run GarageBand and create a ringtone either using Apple’s loop or choose songs from your iTunes library.
3. Sync with iPhone once completed.
4. After sync go to your iPhone and select the ringtone as your ringer.
It is as simple as that.
