If you are a Facebook member, you would have either installed KissMe or SendHotness application or at least received requests by your Facebook friends to install the applications. The success story of KissMe and SendHotness applications were quite an unexpected one.
In September, Dr. BJ Fogg taught “Create Engaging Web Applications Using Metrics and Learning on Facebook” to a group of Stanford University students. Two of the applications created during the course became super hit applications amongst Facebook users. Both KissMe and SendHotness have been installed by over 1 million Facebook users in less than 30 days after the applications were deployed on Facebook. Each application has over 100,000 daily active users.
InsideFacebook.com conducted an interview with the team members. Here is the link to the interview.
KissMe was created by Joel Darnauer, Eduardo Abeliuk and Chris Mocko
SendHotness was created by Jochim De Lombaert, Ed Baker and Alex Onsager.
