Facebook announced an improvement in news feed by introducing feedback controls. The feedback control will allow you to give news feed a thumps up or the “X” to indicate you don’t like the feed.

Facebook will note your feed preference and will make similar stories less common. It will take some time for Facebook’s feedback control system to respond to your thumbs up or “X”. It will gather data each time you give your feedback before it can tweak and show you preferred feeds.
