Open Handset Alliance announces Android mobile platform

Android is the open and free mobile platform created by Open Handset Alliance. Open Handset Alliance’s commitment is to deploy handsets and mobile services using the Android platform starting the second half of 2008. Open Handset Alliance consists of semi-conductors manufacturers, mobile operators, handset manufacturers and technology companies.
Google, Samsung, NTT DoCoMo, T-Mobile are some of the companies that are members of Open Handset Alliance. Open Handset Alliance has announced that we will be able look at the Android Software Development Kit (SDK) on 12 November 2007. It will be available on their website (www.openhandsetalliance.com)
